How important is skin care?
Did you know your first line of health defense is your skin as your largest organ!
Investing in the maintenance and health of your skin with regular good quality and preferably Organic skin care (what we put on and in our bodies is absorbed and we can feel the effects) will not only protect it from the sun and seasonal dryness but also keep you looking and feeling your best throughout the years.
Good quality skin care is essential at any age.
In your younger years skin care can strengthen and prepare your skin for the effects of ageing down the road and creates good habits. In the later years when the signs of ageing kick in, skin care is essential to achieve more healthy and vibrant looking skin when it needs a little help.
What happens to our skin if we skip skin care or are inconsistent?
We shed dead skin cells throughout the day so if you do not cleanse your skin properly, your skin becomes dry and rough because the shedding dead skin cells get stuck on the skin. Over time they compound and give a very textured dry, uneven skin look. My advice, even if you arenot a makeup wearer, still clean yourface every day. Simple but very effective:)
What happens if you don’t cleanse your makeup off before sleep?
We have all been guilty of not removing makeup at times, but the reality is, makeup will trap those dead skin cells under your makeup, making your skin look dull and damaged, not to mention breakouts from the clogged pores.
Makeup can be fun and have its place, but its place is not on your pillowcase or trapped in your pores overnight. (Our organic cleansers not only cleanse they make your skin feel beautiful afterwards.)
How important is moisturising after cleansing?
Well, it’s very important if you want healthy, strong skin. If you don’t apply moisturiser routinely, your skin will start to dry out which leads to premature ageing, fine lines and wrinkles and overall skin dullness.
Most importantly after a long period of not applying moisturizer, your elasticity begins to break down before its time.
Applying moisture puts a barrier of protection to your skin which actually prevents pores clogging caused by the elements. So, even oily skin types should apply a suitable moisturiser which can actually help with break outs.
What Products Do I Use and When?
Morning - Protection, Glow & Smoothness : Evening - Cleanse, Repair, Rest
Use organic, natural products to match your own nature. You don’t need to invest in expensive products that can contain many chemicals. If you are a healthy eater, why not extend your healthy attitude to your skin and hair routines. Remember, everything we put on the body is absorbed.
